Have you heard of Patreon? It’s a crowdfunding site where creators ask their audience to donate a small amount of money per post. In my case, I’m asking those who can to consider donating $1 per comic I draw–roughly $4 a month.
Why am I suddenly asking for moneys? Because I want to get better at what I do and go to conferences like Science Online, buy supplies to make better content, and get a better scanner. And I simply can’t afford to do that on my own.
In return, I’ll send you love letters and stickers and buttons, and you’ll be entered into monthly drawings for bigger prizes like t-shirts and mugs.
